It can be frustrating for Entrepreneurs when they first commence their Entrepreneurship Experience. There can be that struggle, with few business skills and no one to guide them or teach them about the fundamentals of running a business. Understanding this, Maverick Mentoring has prepared many business coaching programs that could help Entrepreneurs & Business Owners on their road to success.

External help & support aside, there are things that entrepreneurs must change about themselves in order to become successful. Here are my Top 4 Tips:

How-To-Be-Successful

  1. TIP NUMBER 1
Working Off The Dining Room Table

Serious results can only come when you’re serious about doing business. And you can’t say that you’re serious about your business when your office is the table in your family room or the dining table at home. Find yourself a proper location (or at least some space with a door to limit external distraction) to set up an office. By stop working off the dining table, you will gain more control over your work, and will probably find it easier to balance between work & home matters.

  1. TIP NUMBER 2
Using Personal Bank Account For Business Transactions

Personal bank account is meant for personal businesses. When you use your personal bank account for business transactions, you are creating more problems for yourself as it will be harder for you to track your numbers on a daily basis.

A business bank account makes everything simpler & clearer, and enables you to track your revenue & expenses much easier. Plus, when you have a business bank account, it will also create a shift in your mindset so you will start acting like a proper business owner.

  1. TIP NUMBER 3
    Doing Everything Yourself

It’s impossible to grow your business if you are the one doing all the work. When you are the boss of a business, it doesn’t make sense if you keep on doing the equivalent of $15/hour tasks like filling papers, running errands or doing administrative work, etc. You have a wealth of knowledge and a passion for your work – so just hire someone to do all the small stuffs so you can go out there and start doing actual significant things that could help grow the business!

From hiring a virtual assistant for just a few hours per month, to hiring an intern, there are lots of options that could help & support you to focus more on doing things that matter.

  1. TIP NUMBER 4
    Spending Mindlessly

Almost all entrepreneurs have done this at the start of their entrepreneurship experience. It’s true that there are many things that an entrepreneur has to spend money on: the business website, graphics, going to seminars, etc. However, you will overspend on them if you don’t have a proper plan or strategy, which will lead to very expensive errors.

To stop this from (re)occurring, develop a solid spending plan and act accordingly. Find someone with experiences that you can trust – preferably a business coach – and check in with them often for trusted resources.
